Job Title: Infant Supervisor

Job Description: Assiniboine Children’s Centre is embarking on a new and exciting adventure! For the first time in our 40+ year history, we are expanding to offer 40 new infant and preschool spaces in a brand new building, designed and constructed with the children in mind!

The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive and Assistant Directors to implement a high quality program that reflects our beliefs values. We feel that a secure, trusting relationship based respect is vital for all our children. We strive to offer an environment that is physically safe, cognitively challenging and emotionally nurturing where children can explore and become self-learners. The infant Supervisor leads the team in program planning and implementation and mentors and coaches staff to be the best that they can be.

Key areas of responsibility include providing direct care for children, ensuring the program meets all health and safety guidelines as well as provincial regulations, developing a fun, exciting and educational curriculum, supervising, scheduling and training staff, developing relationships with families, and participating as a part of the Centre's Management team.

Eligible Candidates: The ideal candidate is an ECE III with previous experience as a Supervisor, preferably in an Infant environment, current First Aid and CPR training, clear criminal record and Child Abuse registry checks. The candidate should have knowledge of current practices and trends in early childhood education, including Circle of Security and RIE training, be able to work independently but also as a part of our large team of staff, have excellent communication and computer skills, and be committed to excellence.
